Research Investigator

Yufeng Zhou, also known by the nickname Fenny, is passionate about understanding how the unique atomic structures of proteins enable their essential functions within cells. Previously, she has conducted X-ray crystallography studies to uncover the atomic structures of ion channels and transporters, and employed single-molecule TIRF microscopy to explore the conformational dynamics of these proteins. Now, she is excited to venture into a new research area in the Bomba-Warczak lab, where she looks forward to combining her expertise in protein biochemistry and structural biology to investigate the mitochondrial proteome.
